Development Trends

The three-dimensional modeling is considered to take birth in the 60s of the 20th century (in 1969 was opened the first company engaged in the production of computer graphics). In spite of its relatively short existence, this field rapidly developed. Analysts state that regardless of the economical crisis of 2008, the industry of the three-dimensional modeling keeps on growing. It is almost 20 years that 3D industry actively develops in Armenia as well. It was founded in the early 90s of the last century along with the establishment of the first companies whose activities were in the sphere of 3D modeling. And during these 20 years, Armenian specialists fount their own level in this industry market. The great interest of foreign companies towards the Armenian market of 3D industry comes to prove this. Currently, there are about 60 companies in Armenia that use the three-dimensional modeling in engineering and constructive services, architectural and construction industry, visualization, television advertising, animation, games and films.

Today most of the companies dealing with the three-dimensional modeling in Armenia are unified into one functioning network within the frames of 3D modeling Union of Armenia. The 3-D modeling Union of Armenia was founded in April 2008, by the joint efforts the Association of 3D modeling, UITE and EIF. During a year of existence, the organization has unified the majority of companies engaged in three-dimensional modeling in Yerevan.

3-D modeling Union of Armenia is a member of the National Council for the development of information technology. The organization collaborates with  the regional and international organizations,  such as UITE, JITC, EIF, CAPS, Microsoft RA, Norq.
